Hyndedale:
This was an ancient manor as well as an ancient English surname. Both evolved into different name versions that are in use today.  Hendall Manor is a place name and there are several versions of the surname, i.e. Hindall, Hindale, Hindell, Hendall in use today.

Hindall (What's in a name?)
The surname "Hindall" in all of the many spelling variations is derived from an Old English  place name (topographic) -- a Hind's  Dale meaning, a valley where (Hind) does can be found: This is my site where I present genealogical & historical projects.
