In my backyard is a garden.  I believe in garden magic.  It's an enchanting quality that never fails to elevate my spirit.   Care must be taken to ensure the magic does not fade away.  Careless thoughts and deeds will cause an erosion of the magic and it could disappear.  You will see a slideshow that is intended to present a sample of what's growing in MyBackyard

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”  Albert Einstein

Listen to nature’s voice—it contains treasures for you.  -- Huron Tribe proverb

Nature is full of genius, full of the divinity; so that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand.
-- Henry David Thoreau- Journals
(1838-1859) - January 5, 1856

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike.-- John Muir (1838-1914) - The Yosemite (1912)

Job 12:7-10

But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will teach you: or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind

Welcome To "MyBackyard"

Within this site you find a collection of photographs that portray nature related events that have occurred within the borders of my backyard.  My backyard is small and I live in a congested suburban development; even so, I ascribe to making my backyard "Wildlife Friendly" along with cultivating a “wee bit of garden magic to throw into the mix”.  Nature is about life; a wondrous cycle of life events -- emergence, growth to maturity, and finally expiration.  I have found there are many wondrous events of nature taking place constantly all about us, with many of those events occurring within our very own backyards.

EVENTS OF NATURE IN PHOTOS

I'm an avid amateur photographer so it was “only a logical progression” that I carry a camera while in the backyard. And while I have missed far many more “good” shots than I actually have captured, I continue to endeavor to be prepared for that "great shot" when it develops and is presented.

I have a site that lists a portfolio of nature photos for sale.  If you are interested try this link:
